Diesel heater installs

Webasto and Eberspächer style diesel heaters installed cleanly and safely, so the boat is warm, dry, and usable through autumn, winter, and spring.

Overview

Warm boats are dry boats.

A properly installed diesel heater changes how much you use your boat. Damp gets controlled, condensation drops, soft furnishings stop suffering, and the boat is comfortable from the first hour of every visit.

The install matters as much as the unit. Fuel pickup, fuel line route, exhaust run and termination, combustion air intake, ducting, thermostat placement, and the electrical supply all need to be planned together. Cut corners on any one of them and the heater will work badly or, worse, become a safety risk.

We spec and install heaters sized to the cabin volume, the insulation, and how you actually use the boat. The result is a system that lights first time, cycles cleanly, and lasts.

What's included

What a heater install includes.

  • Heat load calculation against your cabin volume and use case
  • Unit selection: standalone tank or shared with main fuel, single or multi-outlet
  • Mounting in a serviceable location with vibration isolation
  • Fuel pickup with a dedicated standpipe or filtered tee, fuel pump siting
  • Exhaust route, lagging, and through-hull or transom termination
  • Combustion air intake routed to clean, dry air
  • Ducting runs, outlets, and a thermostat sited away from heat sources
  • 12V or 24V wiring, fused at source, with a clear isolator
  • Commissioning, fault-code check, and a quick walkthrough on use

Process

How a heater install runs.

  1. Tell Oli your boat

Cabin layout, current heating, and how you use the boat through the colder months. A photo or two of the engine bay helps.

  2. Specification and quote

A sized recommendation with the install scope and itemised costs. No jargon, just what is going where and why.

  3. Install at your mooring

Quiet, tidy install. Old heating disconnected if it is being replaced. Routes planned to keep the boat usable.

  4. Commission and handover

Light off and run cycle, exhaust check, thermostat tuning, and a brief on filters, servicing, and what to do if it errors.

  • City & Guilds qualified

Properly trained marine engineering, not handyman improvisation.

  • Mobile to your mooring

Work happens at your boat wherever possible, saving time and hassle.

  • Breakdown callouts

Stuck on the water? Get in touch and a callout can be arranged.

  • Fully insured

Public liability cover in place for every job, on every boat.
